Harbour Early Learning, Willoughby
Harbour Early Learning, Willoughby, is a targeted adaptive reuse project converting a former commercial asset—the Willoughby Squash Courts—into a contemporary childcare facility. The development strategy retained and upgraded the existing external shell and primary built form, while fully demolishing and reconstructing the internal structure to deliver a fit‑for‑purpose layout. The completed centre provides nine classrooms and multiple outdoor play zones, with a licensed capacity of 130 children, optimising the yield of the existing site.
Positioned within an established commercial precinct, the property benefits from strong surrounding amenity and established catchment demand. The site is in close proximity to established residential neighbourhoods, recently completed multi-unit residential developments, the Willoughby Leisure Centre and Halstrom Park, enhancing accessibility, supporting long-term occupancy, and underpinning the project’s overall value and performance as a social infrastructure asset.
